| Director | The Director is the Head of the Institute and exercises all administrative, financial and executive powers delegated by ICAR Headquarters and Government of India. The Director is responsible for overall planning, management and supervision of research, education, extension, technology transfer, administration, finance, infrastructure development and coordination with ICAR Headquarters, State Governments, Universities and other organizations. |
| Scientist-in-Charge (Research Centre) | Supervision of scientific, technical and supporting staff; monitoring project progress; performance appraisal; budget utilization; maintenance of laboratories and field experiments; and day-to-day administration of the Centre. |
| Scientist-In-charge, Planning, Monitoring & Evaluation (PME) Cell | Coordinate institute research planning; prepare Institute Research Plan; monitor ongoing research projects; coordinate Institute Research Committee (IRC), Research Advisory Committee (RAC) and Quinquennial Review Team (QRT) recommendations; maintain database on research publications, technologies, patents, projects, consultancies and MoUs; monitor project outputs and impact assessment. |
| Scientist-In-charge, Human Resource Development (HRD) | Plan and coordinate training programmes for scientists, technical, administrative staff, farmers, extension personnel and stakeholders; coordinate capacity building programmes, deputation for training, seminars, workshops and skill development activities. |

General duties relating to distribution of work, supervision, disposal of cases, maintenance of records, office discipline and compliance with Government and ICAR rules shall be as prescribed by ICAR. |
| Finance & Accounts Officer (FAO) | Exercise financial scrutiny of proposals; pre-audit of bills; maintenance of accounts; budget preparation and monitoring; financial advice; taxation matters; internal control; maintenance of cash book; preparation of utilization certificates and financial statements in accordance with ICAR and Government rules. |
| Private Secretary / Personal Assistant / Stenographer | Provide secretarial assistance to Director including correspondence, scheduling meetings, record management, confidential documentation, and shorthand/typing, coordination and office communication. |
| Assistants / Upper Division Clerk (UDC) | Process files; prepare notes and drafts; maintain records; assist in establishment, finance, purchase and administrative matters under the supervision of AAO/AO. |
| Lower Division Clerk (LDC) | Maintain diary, dispatch, file movement registers, typing, record keeping, indexing, correspondence, data entry and routine office work. |
| Skilled Support Staff (SSS) / Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) | Provide operational support to scientific, technical, administrative and farm activities including laboratories, experimental farms, nurseries, maintenance, field operations and other assigned duties. |

| Women Cell/ Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) | Address complaints relating to sexual harassment at workplace in accordance with the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013. |
