The Institute at Pedavegi has a gross area of 100 ha of which 39 ha has been utilized for various field experiments. Ground water is being lifted through 9 bore wells and used as a source of irrigation. The entire farm boundary is surrounded by either boundary wall/barbed wire fencing. The farm has a total of 7200 oil palms planted in different blocks.
The total area of the Research Centre at Palode is 38.82 ha.
