ICAR-IIOPR, Pedavegi organised the live streaming of launch event of Prime Minister Dhan Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (PMDDKY), Mission for Aatmanirbharta in Pulses, National Mission on Natural Farming (NMNF) along with other schemes on 11th October 2025 in New Delhi at NASC by Hon'ble Prime Minister. The programme was aimed at creating awareness amongst farmers on various schemes of agriculture and allied sectors, new technologies, natural farming, pulses mission etc. The live streaming event was organised in the Auditorium of ICAR-IIOPR, Pedavegi. The programme started with welcome address by Dr. K. Ramachandrudu, Principal Scientist followed by lectures on Oil palm cultivation by Dr. M. V. Prasad, Principal Scientist and Plant protection in oil palm by Dr. ARNS Subbanna, Senior Scientist for the benefit of oil palm farmers. Dr. K. Suresh, Director, ICAR-IIOPR gave a brief introduction about the new schemes being launched by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, followed by a translation on the importance of the Schemes (in Telugu language) for better understanding of farmers participated in the programme. The live screening of the event presided over by Hon'ble Prime Minister was attended by 586 farmers/other participants. The programme ended with vote of thanks by Dr. K. Manorama, Principal Scientist.
