A Museum was established at IIOPR to create awareness about oil palm technologies among farmers, entrepreneurs, officials of development agencies and general public who visit the Institute. Oil palm cultivation practices from nursery to harvesting are sequentially depicted for the benefit of visitors. Museum is having charts containing recommended technologies of oil palm cultivation. Research and Development activities of ICAR-Indian Institute of Oil Palm Research were displayed. Live specimens. samples of palm oil, products and bi products were displayed. Technologies were narrated along with illustrations. Facilities available at ICAR-IIOPR were also displayed. Models of irrigation devices, harvesting tools and curios were displayed. Literature on oil palm cultivation was made available. A. V. kiosk is arranged to display video films, content search and you tube films. More than 1000 stakeholders visit the museum, every year.
